Supatra Tovar, PsyD, RD (PSY31949) is the only licensed clinical psychologist who is also a nationally registered dietitian and certified fitness expert. Based in Pasadena, she is known for her integrative, holistic approach to helping clients manage anxiety, depression, trauma, chronic stress, eating disorders, and autism. Dr. Tovar blends evidence-based psychotherapy with somatic therapy and mindfulness practices to support long-term healing and mental clarity.

She is also the founder of ANEW—Advanced Nutrition and Emotional Wellness, a health platform dedicated to transforming lives through science-backed tools in psychology, nutrition, and fitness. In addition, Dr. Tovar is the award-winning author of the best-selling book Deprogram Diet Culture: Rethink Your Relationship with Food, Heal Your Mind, and Live a Diet-Free Life and the creator of the companion online course designed to break the cycle of dieting and promote sustainable well-being.

In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Tovar hosts ANEW Body Insight, a wellness podcast exploring the powerful connections between emotional well-being, nutrition, and fitness.

Dr. Tovar earned her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology and has two master’s degrees, a Master of Science in Nutrition and a Master of Arts in Psychology. She is a member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and the American Psychological Association. She is licensed to provide therapy in California, Colorado, Illinois, and New York.

Since founding her first Pilates studio over twenty years ago, she has been designing exercise and nutrition programs as well as helping clients emotionally and mentally heal.

 

 

Arianne Tang, PsyD (PSB 94026534) holds a deep commitment to holistic and culturally sensitive mental health care. She is passionate about helping clients from marginalized and underserved communities and draws from an integrative, evidence-based approach that includes cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness practices, and strengths-based techniques. Dr. Tang provides therapy for teens, college students, and adults navigating academic pressure, family expectations, and the mental health impacts of today’s social and economic challenges. She specializes in supporting adolescents and young adults facing addiction, anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, identity exploration, and life transitions.

Dr. Tang completed her APA-accredited internship at Child and Family Guidance Center in Los Angeles. Her clinical training includes work with diverse populations across the lifespan at Through the Looking Glass Early Head Start, Bay Area Community Resources, Davis Street Family Resource Center, and other community-based settings. She has extensive experience treating anxiety disorders, trauma, substance use, grief and loss, and gender and sexual identity concerns.

She earned her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology in San Francisco and holds a master’s degree in Clinical and Counseling Psychology from Teachers College at Columbia University. Dr. Tang received her undergraduate degree in psychology from UC San Diego, graduating cum laude.

Dr. Tang works as a psychological associate under the supervision of Dr. Supatra Tovar and provides telehealth therapy to clients across California.
