It’s no secret that mornings can sometimes feel like you’re stepping into a world of haze, where focus is a distant dream and clarity feels just out of reach. As the alarm rings, it’s as if your mind is still caught in a space between sleep and wakefulness, drifting in a fog of unprocessed thoughts. Because of this, the early hours can be like a magical realm, full of possibility, but also a bit difficult for you to fully grasp since your brain is still slowly awakening and adjusting to the new day.

Dealing with that day after day can take a toll on a person. However, understanding the nature of this early morning mystery is the first step to unlocking the secret of how to break through and begin the day with true mental clarity.

That’s why we reached out to a few of our favorite experts including psychologist and author Supatra Tovar, psychologist and wellness expert Rachel Goldman, therapist and author Joelle Moray and psychologist and podcast host Raquel Martin.
