SGVPA’s Programming Committee ends each year with a non-CE open forum/panel discussion on pertinent topics in our field.  This year, we will discuss how a diverse group of clinicians blends intervention styles, orientations, and conceptualization approaches in their work.  We will also discuss the transition from formal training models in one orientation to an integrated style, if in fact one chooses to do that.  We will touch on possible encroachments and limitations into this practice of psychology by outside forces, such as insurers, the medical model, and evidence-based versus empirically-supported research approaches.  We hope the audience will join in on what is likely to be a lively conversation.
